Oxford Township

is located in the southeastern corner of Isanti County. The address of the town hall is 26090 Apollo Street N.E. Stacy MN 55079. The population is approx. 994 people and the Township is 22.5 square miles. The Township is governed by a local board of supervisors and created to provide services to its residents.

The Township is the smallest unit of state government and is responsible for:

• roads
• ditches
• rights of ways
• bridges
• fire protection of the township residents
• Other things as determined by the Board

Township meetings are open to the public and held at the township hall on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. The annual meeting is by statute held on the second Tuesday of March unless inclement weather forces its rescheduling. It is at this meeting that the public voice is heard on all matters including the township tax levy. Special meetings are scheduled as necessary at the discretion of the town board supervisors. All official notices are published in the Isanti County News, the Scotsman, and on the posting board located in front of the Township Hall.
